Sent you a PM. If you don't believe it, fair enough. Doesn't bother me. I have no reason to grind an axe, as I'm actually a fan of rugby of both codes, and played a fair bit of it too, but I just wish the ****ers who follow the game would know their place.
I'm not that bothered. It's just a topic and it's being discussed. Don't join in if you don't feel the need.
Let's look at it practically, too: North stand was empty. And I mean, empty. West Upper was closed, wasn't it? So, what does it leave? East stand holds 6,000. How full would you say it was? Same question for the South Stand, which holds 4,000 and Lower West, which holds 6,000.
Or you could say to get over 10k those three stands would only have to be 65% full. Imagine how empty it would look with only 65% of the seats taken, similar to Friday maybe?
I assume you were at the match? I wasn't and I didn't even see it on TV (though I know the North stand was empty because my friend in the PA box told me). How full would you say the stands were?
Even the eggchasers don't believe the rugby town hype anymore. City have sold out our last 5 home games, Hull FC have never filled it.
I'm just surprised the HDM and RH didn't come out with something about rugby fever gripping Hull again as FC kicked off the season in a packed KC. Soon it will be time for The Biggest Derby In The Universe And Everywhere Else, just like Rangers and Celtic, AC and Inter where a divided city clamour for tickets which are like gold dust.
