The EFL is to take action against this club (click here) for its programme's failure to use the proper name of a football club. The omission was from both the cover and inside of the programme. Presumably the same rule applies to all clubs in the EFL therefore we can expect action about our own programme too.
Posted this on the NFL thread this morning (seemed a good idea at the time). I hope they do the same with us. This may have been discussed previously if so, so what? I tend not to comment or view the Allam threads nowadays as they tend to sway from the simplicities, that being that the Allam's are ****s. All other discussions have been done to death. Despite all this maybe the EFL, if they are concerned about their reputation & supporter unrest, should take a peek at the ****nuts running our shambles of a club & ask them for comments. Maybe there should be some supporter unrest, maybe there should be a lot? "The failure to recognise MK Dons in the correct manner causes reputational issues for the EFL as well as creating the potential for unrest amongst MK Dons supporters and, as such, is of concern for the EFL," the EFL said in a statement. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/mobile.reuters.com/article/amp/idUKKCN1BY0U7
Good on Wimbledon. Milton Keynes couldn't start from scratch, could they? No, they nicked a club and it was a disgrace. All kudos to Wimbledon though. They started from scratch and are now playing Milton Keynes in the same league. Regarding not using the name. It should be the same across the board. Our owners don't use our name do they? Will it be looked at? Nope. Then again, where is Hull? A northern coastal outpost. Where are Wimbledon and MK Dons? You get what I'm saying.
Oh the sweet irony of MK Dons being the catalyst for forcing clubs to use their proper playing names.
The unfortunate twist in this is that the rules quoted in the linked article say clubs have to respect the name of the opposing team. "Under new EFL regulations 3.4 and 3.5 all clubs are required to behave towards one another with the 'utmost good faith' and not to 'unfairly criticise, disparage, belittle or discredit' any other club.
Sadly the article says that a club can use a ****ty nickname for a club instead of its real name (they might have worded it differently) if that team agree So unfortunately we'll keep agreeing to use anything but Hull City...and so could any other club too
