I do not for one second believe you think Sunderland last season spent more money than Newcastle , when you were relegated your owner was making headlines " Do not blame me I have spent 100 million pounds" this 100.000.000 pounds was spent on the team that is now representing Newcastle in the championship

FACT - Sunderland are being relegated
FACT - Defoe is leaving on a free in the summer
FACT - You have no-one in your squad to sell, not one of your players would sell for half as much as Wijnaldum or Sissoko
FACT - Newcastle paid £2m for Sissoko and sold for £30M
FACT - Newcastle signed Wijni for £12m and sold for £25m

I just can't help but feel that even if I was a mutant mackems, I would confess that Newcastle are currently in a better position in every way, the squad, the manager, the stadium, the finances and I would even say league position. I would rather be top of championship on April 1st over bottom of the PL!

 

If we follow your logic the team that Ashley spent £100 million on in the Premier League is the same one that's now in the Championship.

I still don't know what your point is. Newcastle is a rich club? Newcastle didn't spend much for a few seasons then spent all the money they had in the bank in one go which demonstrates a poor overall recruitment strategy? Steve McLaren wasted money? These are well established facts so why go over them again and again? Or are you trying to say something else?
