So pleased to see them back in the game, I’m sure he will have them fighting for survival from day 1. Potential for McCarthy to make a January move (I think he is now 4th choice right back). Also wouldn’t be surprised for Stewart and Gape to get a call. Good luck to them.

That looks like a lower league 1 back line up to me.

Yes, I did read on-line somewhere that Rooney makes Lampard look a good manager

He does not look a happy bunny and is it possible players don't like him much

Not true Ron. I basically don't care much if he goes or stays if I'm honest. The local scuttlebut is that the players like him and I don't think there is turmoil in the dressing room. We knew last season we were punching above our financial position but got away with it at the death. This season is just confirming the fact and it was always going to be a struggle again. You only have to look around the Championship to see what money is sloshing around this season. For me it is what it is and I will be back next season if I survive no matter where Argyle are in the food chain.

Bit shocked Coventry have traded in the successful for Lampard though. I think there is a bit of big name syndrome going about as a sickness currently.

Actually greeny, I heard a story that Rooney was trying to get the players to do something in training and demonstrated how to do it. I understand the player being interviewed said they just looked in awe and said we can't do that. So, if he is a good tutor, he could turn them into a team that will start to turn things round. Let's hope so <cheers>

We will have to keep on losing for Rooney to get sacked and that isn't quite yet. Plymouth don't do knee jerk with the exception of Foster. After tonight and yesterday it looks like two more Prem Managers might just be on borrowed time.

I know it's not part of this thread, has anybody watched Chelsea's second goal from last night , even a Sunday League team would have been embarresed by that goal

I just read that Ruben Selles is about to leave Reading to take over at Hull so it should be No 17 today.
