No 41 & still counting can we reach 50 by the end of the season, which I am taking as the end of the play-offs
I have great pleasure in announcing No, 43. Yes it's our very own scottish green Derek Adams. I thought it was impossible but like my betting record it proved it was and I was wrong. One game to go so quite brave of our owner. This evening as I sit here with my glass of plonk in hand I am quietly SHOUTING "GEDDDIN YOU BARSTEWARD" in my head of course so as not to upset the neighbours. On a down side the local press have mentioned Steve Evans as a possible replacement. If they appoint him I may have to get the blunderbuss out of the shed again.
Good luck with your hunt for a new manager you know our feelings towards Adams and we feel the same about Evans I would hope you go for a young English manager or maybe one with west country routes
Let's hope it revives the team and they get that vital win against Scunthorpe. Then pray that either Wimbledon lose or Southend don't win. As I've said in the Run In thread and, of course , it is obvious to all, a draw against Scunthorpe would mean Southend have to lose. Just don't lose
I might just consider burning my season ticket if Evans ever got near our club. Yes I have already bought next season's plastic. Not sure about Holloway. Good manager but left under a very large cloud last time and people were not impressed with his expressions of love for us one minute and leaving on the next bus. I could however forgive him as it was a while ago now. Gary Johnson is another mentioned. He has worked wonders with clubs mostly in the South West. He isn't the most healthy of people but I would be happy enough with him. Anyway I don't care at the minute who it is. Glad Adams has gone and we have a bit of an important match to play this weekend. The Manager can wait.
He seems to have a very good record of leading teams towards relegation. I see he achieved it this time
There is a bit more to that, Aldershot earlier in the season litereally ran out of players, I know for one game they fielded the complete youth side in an FA Trophy replay game against Bedford & lost 7-0
Looks like Warburton is about to be announced as the new QPR manager. Not long ago Ainsworth was 2/5 for the job but it looks as though there were 4 other more likely contenders. Warburton stands at 1/20. I suspect Ainsworth will be a little disappointed that he wasn't offered the job, or even approached, especially knowing that it will be very difficult to keep us in L1 next year
No 44 & No 45 today with Pete Wild of Oldham he did last 15 days longer than Paul Scholes & Chris Hughton from Brighton.
