This weekend the Football League season commences and ITV will be showing highlights on free-to-air television.

Fans will be able to see highlights from the Championship, League One and League Two.

Earlier this year we announced Hugh Woozencroft and Jules Breach will present ITV’s EFL coverage and they'll be joined by a panel of pundits to cast their eye over the action.

Throughout the season, a comprehensive round-up of all the day’s action from across the EFL will be screened in the primetime slot each Saturday at 9pm on ITV4, with a repeat being shown on ITV [main channel] later in the evening.

And for those who want to catch up on all the highlights on Sunday mornings, viewers will be able to watch again on ITV at 9:25am and on demand via our streaming platform the ITV Hub.

Good that they will be showing repeats on the main ITV channel. ITV4 doesn’t even have a HD option on some platforms (Freeview etc) so at least there’ll be an option to watch in HD, albeit later on.

I dare say there will be times when the repeat option won't be utilised ! Hopefully not many.
