I think we got ANALysed when we signed plastic Bamford. Any striker of decent ability would have scored plenty in bielsas promotion team. The only players we will sign is another one for the future. Gyabi was supposed to be good but where was he last night.

Probably PR, which is why we continued the “pursuit” when he made it clear from the off he had no (none, zero, zilch) interest in joining.

No it doesn’t, we can only buy if they’re cheap enough, whatever way you slant it. 34 million was never there.
I heard an interesting take on this that made sense. If we'd bought CDK we'd have been a stepping stone before he went to a Champion's League club. The "bigger" clubs can't take chances on players that might not adapt to the top level. They're under pressure to buy the finished article and aren't looking to make a profit when they sell on. If we'd snagged CDK for 34m we could have sold him for 60m in a couple of years so it's an investment as he's a prospect whose value will only increase. Just buying a striker without a sell on isn't an investment so the 34m isn't there. I guess they've identified other targets whose value could increase.
I agree with Blono. If the right type of player became available we would find the 30 million needed. Everton have bid 25 million for Che Adams. We won't be doing that.
