Gutted, surprised Harvey didn’t take one. Fred didn’t look confident and tough on McNeily. Hard fought battle. Henderson played the best I’ve seen him play.
I hate penalty shoot outs. But, despite Fulham having that 1 goal advantage and only needed to score with their 5th penalty, Norris saved and kept us in it and (I think) we had one chance to even win the shoot out. In the end we missed our one opportunity and lost 5-4. Not sure how many saves there were but there were no misses. It was a knife edge and either side could have gone through. From the radio it sounded as though we had a chance to knick it before the shoot out but then after that the Dane cleared off the line to keep us in it. Must have been exciting although slightly disappointing in the end. Let's hope they aren't too knackered for Saturday Surprised we used only 3 subs
All you can hope for is when drawn against a Premier League side that you give them a game & don't embarras ourselves
