The Chairboys are off to Northamptonshire to take on the Cobblers at Sixfields, this is our fifth consecutive away game in the EFL Cup and we have to go back to August 2019 for our last game at Adams Park also seven of our last 10 games in this comp have not been finished in normal time it's been a very long time since we won a League Cup game in normal time way back on 19th December 2006 when we beat Charlton 1-0 at the Valley. Gaz is likely to make changes for this one apart from in goal or centre back due to lack of numbers Mellor is likely to start. This game is just up the road from me but I wont be attending due to personal reasons but lets all hope the lads put in a good display and win in normal time
I thought we had a half decent squad but we looked very lightweight on Saturday. It would be nice to make some progress in this cup but I don't think we have the squad to go very far to be honest
I’d like to see the front 3 of Mellor, de Barr and al-Hamadi do well. Young strong and pacey. If these 3 hit it off it could be our new plan b.
Good to see Mellor has his first goal will settle him in a bit more, are we going to win our first League Cup in 90 minutes since 2006
Well that is the first time in 16 years we have won a League Cup match in 90 minutes. I see we bought on the big guns as subs as well. Sounds like Tyla had a few saves to make as well which would do his confidence some good after Saturday
Well done lads. They did well with the starting 11. Only a penalty beat the GK. Sounds like he made some good saves and almost set up a counter attack. That should give him some confidence
Been out all evening and came in expecting the worst. Really pleased for the team, this will be such a confidence booster. Hoping Forino is not injured again and was just getting some minutes.
