But I still preferred a boring one-nil win
To an ´entertaining´ 2 - 4 defeat

Is the only real guarantee,
For Chairmen and Board members and fans alike
When it comes to staying happy
Just how many have entertained
Consistently in the PL,
This year and can say they´ve also had success
While doing it, eerrrrrmmmmm, well...

And possibly Everton too,
But after that it´s hard to find any more
And three out of twenty´s quite few
And whoever we do appoint
And as much as their heart is willing,
To entertain and thrill, sometimes it won´t do
To keep us hÃgh up on the billing
I know the last time we were here
We managed to combine the two,
Picking up points with panache and style
But then, momentum we had too
So hopefully we´ll find a blend
Of efficient entertainment next year,
And if we could get the balance just right
