According to The Times this morning, the following European citizens would no longer have automatic right to play for us. If we left the EU and wanted them to play for us we would have to appeal. This would affect

    Huth
    Kante
    Wasilewski

    Could lead to problems..

Not really as Huth has been here long enough to get residency and Kante would easily get a work permit being a full international and a "prominent player of renown that will improve English football" or whatever daft requirement they have for the permits.

As for Wasyl, it seems like he won't be offered a new deal at the end of the season so that is a moot point.

If that argument is put forward by the Remain party it really will be plumbing the depths!

strange that it appeared i the times, could see why they would publish that sort of rubbish i the sun. what will be different if we leave nothing for at least two years then an orderly change to what ever is agreed with the eu and to what ever the govt decide our policies on immigration and foreign workers are . Cant beleive that the times believes the quality of its readers has drop so low as to believe this article at face vale.

It really makes you despair if the Remain camp/EU is putting this forward as a valid reason to stay. It speaks volumes about what the self appointed, unelected political elite think about the people it is supposed to serve. Apologies for bringing politics onto the forum, but they started it!
