Or a link to the EU actually demanding a sum off the UK. So far only the Express and co have come up with any numbers, as trustworthy as they are...

Merkel killed any progress stone dead, she was more interested in the cash. The eurocrats have repeatedly shown the welfare of the proletariat is not their concern.

Millions of public sector workers on strike in France. Macron has forecasted months of this chaos.

Macron's public sector reforms spark nationwide strikes

The Macron boy is trying really hard to attract entrepreneurs to return to France with his proposals to end the dreaded wealth tax but with the promise of months, or even years, of disruption anyone would be mad to invest in such a place.

You must be the only person in the world to realise Merkel is the leading voice in the EU, even after her poor showing in the German election.

It really is like arguing with the flat earth society here ! Asking Merkel to negotiate such an issue is like asking a British policeman for a train ticket - it's not her responsibility. She would, at a stretch, be able to guarantee rights for British people in Germany, but nothing more than that - she is not qualified to negotiate for the whole of the EU. or to make any separate deals. There is only one German in the EU. negotiating team - they are underrepresented in the EU. Commission. They pay only 21% of the EU. budget and they have no more representation in the EU. Parliament than that which is accorded to their population ie. they can be outvoted there by any combination of 2 countries. Merkel is not able to 'kill any progress', nor is she able to assist it - this will be done by the EU. negotiating team, which has been picked for that purpose. By the way - the French outnumber the Germans in that team by 4 to 1.

The French have always been the German's gofers.

Merkel was key in forming the negotiating strategy, it would have been relatively easy to make the migrant's welfare a priority. Merkel showed the same lack of concern as the Germans have done over the Greeks. No wonder the former Greek finance minister said it is impossible to negotiate with the EU and advises walking away.

I will quote your first sentence here - since when was it ok. on these boards to insult whole nations ? I solemnly wish that it were possible to hold onto the British who appreciate what the EU. has done for them over the years, and jetison those like you to another planet !

"it would have been relatively easy to make the migrant's welfare a priority." Perhaps, if there had only been just the one of them!

There, just wasted a precious minute of my life. Still, perhaps not as wasteful as an endless dialogue with a WUM...

17,410,742 UK voters rejected the UKs continuing membership of the EU. Our planet can remain the UK, those that disagree are free to move to the EU, if they are quick!! They should avoid the civil war in Spain and the standstill in France.
