Well durr! Because there is a force field at the edge that deflects boats and planes away from it to prevent anyone bumping to the glass dome like in The Truman Show. When the plane takes off it apparently doesn't make use of the theory of lift and aeronautics because gravity is also a conspiracy theory, they just float up into the air and the pilots who are also sheep just point at what they think is the horizon but aircraft manufacturers are in the know and fool everyone into believing their instruments are correct.

On every plane there is at least one shrewdie who looks out and thinks "I can't see any curvature of the earth from up here, Eddie must be right"

Meanwhile the disc floats through the universe on the back of the giant turtle....

As the turtle is the source of propulsion I thought it was relevant and no need to mention the pachyderms. Without the flying turtle earth would be stood on the backs of four elephants and where would they be able to go? If they possessed the power of levitation it may explain why the disc doesn't just plummet through the void but should they all be able to fly who would pick the direction? The flying turtle is the key so I was correct and not, as you pointed out, an idiot.

The elephants are needed to balance the disc. It wouldn't be very stable on the back of a turtle. Idiot.

Ah, that would imply the turtle had a poor sense of balance which is yet another conspiracy "they" perpetuate. Turtles actually have an excellent sense of balance and are often used as waiters in high class tropical hotels to ferry drinks to guests in their infinity pools.

No, it's back is rounded. Can't balance a disc on that very well. Idiot.
