Found this article which came from Bournemouth's radio Solents fans forum:

Eddie Mitchell was asked the following question:

When asked about the eight player sales over the past twelve months and asked what percentage of the money received has been made available for Lee Bradbury to spend in the transfer market. Mitchell responded...

"We`ve sold players because we`ve been pushed into situations to sell those players through their own success, most if not all of the deals that were done have been good deals for the club, it`s consolidated the club, it`s built the club and the club has got to be built from the bottom upwards, not the top down and that`s how I`m going to build it and if you don`t like it, go and support Southampton."

Theres plenty more in the link below, but it seems that Eddie isnt exactly flavour of the month down in Bournemouth these days!

I loved the "Liam Feeney will not be sold in this transfer window" inside 1 day he was sold.

I liked the bit at the start when he was asked why nobody had signed and he said "the window's closed".

Had he explained the situation professionally and kept his temper, he made some good points about living within their means, but his dodgy building side came out and he ended up insulting the fans and undermining the Manager.

Tbh you can see why arry redknapp wants to buy the club after he retires.
Him and mitchell are two of the dodgest people in football.

Think Mitchell is not far from the truth. He knows the accounts better than the fans or media, with their crowds at Bornmuff, no way can they compete to get promoted to the Championship or stay in league 1 without selling their best players.

I think some Bornmuff fans have short memories. They were bankrupt a couple of years ago and Mitchell is right, under him they have had their best success and best football for 20+ years. Fans demanding to know all the ins and outs of every club is getting tiresome. Too many fans don't know the difference between internet gossip and the truth anymore.

it's very easy for people on here to cast opinions about AFC Bournemouth. We don't know their money situation. They've sold a few players, but I honestly can't see where they get substantial income from, apart from transfers. Of course he made stupid comments, and his bedside manner is appalling. But I suspect he's as good as Bournemouth are going to get at present.

I know everyone at Bournemouth is really sad that they've not been able to make the jump to the championship, and that they seem to be pulling the carpet out from under their own feet. But that's the way it is, with a club with a 12,060 capacity ground, League One football and very little money in the bank. I bet they're glad they're not Plymouth Argyle.

This thread is even more hilarious after yesterday <laugh>

Maybe it should go on Comedy Central like Arsenal's 8-2 defeat to Man Utd ;)
