Recruitment was panicked

Absolute bollocks. Recruitment takes so long, so many factors, we just stuck with a “PL experience is everything” approach and it absolutely bollocksed us. For some unfathomable reason the owners haven’t pinned that failure on Howe, Andy Howe, Nickson or whoever so fundamentally someone at the club has failed on an almost catastrophic level and been allowed to get away with it; this is more of an indication as to why they’ve stuck with Howe. There’s a massive lack of actual ambition here and it’s going to **** us up the arse fairly soon. I mean that ****ing photo after we secured safety? Really, that’s the bar?! Yasir spending time with Gordon who cannot get away fast enough. It’s all so….mid. We just look like we’re pretending to be going somewhere. It’s odd.

Our season has been poor due to lack of goals. We bought two strikers at the very least minute after trying for numerous others. So yes it was panicked.

We're **** this season and recruitment has been awful... That's the top and bottom of it at the moment.

Some obviously don't take notice of the results and even more importantly the actual games themselves. It's not hard to see as it's very prevalent

Out of curiosity, are we all just believing David Ornstein? I can't see anything that he's said with any quotes from anyone within side NUFC!

Also, he mentioned barring a disaster end to season - for those wanting EH out, are you prepared for us to lose all 3 games?

Again that’s absolute ****. We would’ve been fine if we’d had who, exactly? Mbuemo? Sesko? Our tactics have been abysmal all season, I don’t buy anyone’s idea that it’s all down to players. Look at Man U - same players were 12th, they’re now in the Chanps League because Carrick isn’t a ****ing stubborn moron and got 4231 implemented asap. This absurd notion that Howe can’t bring in a different identity when other teams do it overnight is ****ing mental.

Hes just a really limited manager. But sure let’s go buy another bunch of “athletes” cos clearly the issue is we don’t have enough.

Now your see here, this is really a load of bollox

No because the team comes first no matter what. I want any manager to win every game.

It's not Eddie Howe United either. He is not a top level manager though and never will be. Top managers have a plan B in their locker, are proactive and not continuously reactive, and have players in their team who can control the possession of the ball and dictate play. Managers who can eradicate continuous problem areas.

I agree about Ornstein as he was badly wrong about Isak also.

This is exactly it - it’s not ****ing Eddie Howe FC. I hate the Eddie howes black and white army chants, it just feels so small.

He can stay nameless for all I care - the manager needs to play decent football, get decent tactics on the pitch, play to the strengths in the squad and build success. Recently, Eddie Howe did well last season winning a pot. Since then it’s been crap on crap on crap.

This feels like a very well written summary:

To me, Howe is a bit of a one-trick pony. Whether it’s inability or unwillingness to adapt (or a combination), it’s the same approach over and over again. A team built on ageing athletes is always going to fall behind the younger, more technical sides at the top. But beyond that, our style has been figured out. Most teams we face now know exactly how to nullify us. The surprise factor is long gone.

That’s why this summer is so important. Do we finally see a shift where recruitment is driven by the club with a clear identity, or do we end up chasing more of the same profiles? The pessimist in me thinks it’ll be the latter. Howe’s nephew tasked with finding the next Dan Burn or Joelinton.

It honestly feels like our Kodak moment. Sticking with what once worked while the game moves on around us.
