That cheeky backheel from Bruno down by the corner flag near the end of the game was ****ing filthy. Something tells me he gets it and he is going to fit right in just nicely…just a feeling! Nawty Nawty….verrrrrrrrry Nawty!!
I was at the Burnley game ya cheeky git, and at the Brentford and Watford draws. I'm undefeated under Eddie.
He was just an arm short from stopping Tripp’s free kick….or was it a short arm from stopping Tripp’s free kick….not too sure….
T Reaction wise he reminded me of a Ginola’esq response after the Toon v Arsenal at Arsenal game where Ginola got no protection from Arsenal’s defence kicking him out of the game.
I felt that tonight's performance was just beautiful. Ok it was against a club that are now, thanks to us, a relegation rival, but the spirit on show was just immense. I admit that Eddie's choice to put Bruno on the bench didn't get my pre-game approval - but it took about 90 minutes for Eddie to prove his point. Note - in mitigation Bruno did look rather good in final few minutes - a chance he created for ASM and his cheeky back heel near the corner. But there were so many other good performances all over the pitch - Dubs had barely a shot to save. Trippier is just fabulous. I thought that Targett really looked the part as a no-nonsense defender - playing similar to Dummett - who was reliable at the back. Targett appears genuinely pleased to be here. The whole defence looked balanced and well drilled. Schar was more than ok and Lascelles got our quick comeback goal after being in wrong place for the OG. Willock really got back to form in the second half - what a confidence boost for him, and potential for us. Shelvey looked interested and efficient - he might really show off his best for the second half of the season. And Joelinton - ok can't shoot - but won loads in the midfield and was useful in breaking up play. Midfield were good enough - without Bruno for all but 5 minutes of it. Murphy nearly scored late on. ASM had a brilliant game, Fraser had his best game that I can remember. Ok strikers wise, we're not quite there. Wood missed a chance that he normally scores with. We've nobody else at this moment. Didn't matter; he still won plenty in the air and helped our forward play. His goals will come. In summary - a brilliant night. Let's continue from here.
