    Cheat and break the yolk and spread it over the top slice so stays in the sandwich

    Can't believe it now but when i was a youngan I always burst the egg and spread it all over the pan then I could get about six sandwiches from 1 egg.:emoticon-0102-bigsm

    If I accidentally broke the yolk in the pan I used it as an excuse to have a second egg and have a really good sandwich.

    Toasted homemade bread, with butter and Marmite, lavishly topped with Heinz baked beans & grated Cheddar cheese ... I also remember that tinned beans tasted so much nicer in the 60'-70's that I'd eat them straight from the tin.

    Excuse me whilst I nip to the kitchen.

    We used to get six bottles every week 2 Sasparella 1 Lemonade 1 Orangeade 1 Cream soda and 1 Limeade and a flagon of Ginger beer about once a month.
