Nice for all of our lads to get intnational experience but we've got a lot more on the line this season so I'd prefer, selfishly, that none of them played to avoid injury. Let Harry play though
The following players played yesterday: Tom Lawrence Ukraine 1 - 0 Wales (Started) Also I had a look at Gray in the U21 as I read good things and he deserves them. We have a real talent on our hands - the majority of the below video is his highlight reel and it was his first U21 cap as well.
Drinkwater starts for his first cap as does Vardy. please log in to view this image Can see this formation being fluid and becoming a 4-4-2 like last time.
Pleased they are both playing but very suspicious that the Spurs stars got played on Saturday. Bet Potchetino has moaned to the FA to gain an advantage....
There will be a dozen or so subs and most likely will include Vardy and Drinkwater going off knowing Woy. Am more annoyed about Kasper playing -apparently has a toe injury and got a knock in Denmark's other game. Also we play on Sunday so have a extra day off.
The following players played today: Danny Drinkwater - England 1-2 Netherlands (started, man of the match) Jamie Vardy - England 1-2 Netherlands (started, scored) N’Golo Kanté - France 4 - 2 Russia (first start, first goal) Kasper Schmeichel - Scotland 1 - 0 Denmark (started) Shinji Okazaki - Japan 5 - 0 Syria (started, 100th cap) Christian Fuchs - Austria 1 - 2 Turkey (started) Mixed fortunes for our lads but everyone seems to have made it out OK - there are rumours that Kasper and Kante have knocks but not from anyone worth listening to.
Nice to see Vardy score his first couple of goals for England, hopefully he'll feel a bit more confident and score for us at the weekend, it's been a while since he last bagged!
