If Sunderland win, we're running out of patsies to replace us as one of the relegated gang of three!

Beating Villa absolutely necessary.

Yes bit of a kick in the nuts but Sunderland have a sh@te defence so not all lost.

It just shows that we cant rely on others. In both matches (bunley&sunderland)hometeam have been way ahead of their opponents. Its a time of the season when the teams are fighting their skins out for their places in the prem. We started that yesterday but unfortunately others can do it too..........

Familiar? Carver looks as lost as Redknapp, Jordan & Bond combined - hopefully he kicked some butt at half-time.

I just fear Sunderland are more likely to add a 2nd goal.

Amazing that Sunderland had tied 14 matches so far this season, compared to our 4 (Burnley 11) - let's hope this can be #15!

Both Sunderland and Newcastle are sh@te in the 'Scottish derby'. I thought were were bad at Palace but watching this i'm not so sure. Awful teams

A double over your hated neighbour is still worth 6 points in the campaign.

dont fancy newcastle to pull this one round….

I think you're right - they're playing without any sort of conviction. Too bad half-time didn't come 30 secs earlier and this match, like Burnley, ended in a boring 0-0 draw.

Adam Johnson on!

Newcastle should be ashamed of themselves playing like that in a derby. When they come to LR if they play any better than that then they should be embarrassed.

In Fergie tradition, I wonder if Dick going to share a glass of this with John Carver afterwards?

Bols is certainly the right word to describe a Sunderland win for us.
