it would have to work like this, get 200+ people to agree to it, sign a letter write to adam asking for him to open up the far section next to the east in the north, for Unreserved singing section, this will be a case of turning the blind eye as we stand up or at least some leeway. keep it unreserved and then that way people can move accordingly and not ticket holders can join in as well.
I bet there would be a load of guys (AND Girls) who'd love to get in on this. Yes you'd get the idiots but generally speaking we havent got apes like the counts at Leeds and Millwall, so I reckon we'd be OK as far as trouble makers go. Plus you'd get teenagers wanting to get in on the atmosphere and probably a few dads as well. I bet if we could get a couple of hundred singers and create an atmosphere it would spread and I reckon if people heard about a great atmosphere at the KC the crowds would increase. Come on, lets get some communication out to the masses to gauge opinion for next season
Palace's support yesterday was immense, albeit only for the 5 minutes after they scored but they were going mental, as if that goal had kept them up. I'm ashamed to say it but they've had me singing 'That's the way we like it - we like it - we like it!' in my head all day today. Even after the game had finished and our lot had done their little lap of the pitch, there were about 200 of them still left at the top of the stand singing away and jumping around, plus one lonely guy halfway down the stand doing it all on his own, waving his arms all over the place.
I thought no one would ever ask! When do we begin? I've been after getting everyone together for epic ultras chants and jumps for ages, but it hasn't ever gone anywhere because I don't really know too many people who go to city personally. I agree with you that the chants are so boring now that they are meaningless to sing. Any new song that has appeared in the past is just a variation of the same few chants that everybody sings but with different words (usually swearing due to lack of creativity) depending on who they're trying to insult. New chants and movements (arm waving, jumping etc.) and banners and flags (both currently banned from the stadium for some unknown reason) are all needed to make the matches entertaining. It's got to the stage now that I feel annoyed if I come out from a stadium having won, but spent the whole match sat down because old people or families cannot stand and sing and have fun for 90 minutes, despite having insanely long journeys to matches having being sat down all the way. Who knows why these people turn up, they might as well listen on the radio at home and save some money instead of ruining the atmosphere. So basically who cares about the result, its about which fans sand the loudest and the best songs. We need an Ultras group that has all the usual ultra mentalities. Funnily enough Ulltras came into my head at one stage, but then I thought that it was a mightily cheesy name. I wouldn't particularly worry about what we're called at the moment but we should definitely get summut going. There's probably a ton of support for this but everyone is too dispersed around the ground apart from those in the E1-3 section like you mentioned but even they don't impress really. If it could start getting more ultra style in that corner I reckon it could grow through the east stand and north if the away fans move but it could take a few seasons to get moving I think. Concerning the song that Palace kept singing (the 'we love you song') we could use it cos its not exactly theirs as i've seen loads of people singing it from loads of different countries but I do agree with making up our own stuff too. Anyway lets hope we can organize something pretty soon or we're gonna keep getting embarrassed every time.
I think we need to forget about this for home games for this season, nothing will happen now as season tickets have being arranged, policing etc... If this is to happen this year it clearly has to be away games, but what better time to start than pre-season? Really cheap tickets away at Grimsby and Chesterfield give perfect time to practice a few new chants etc..... If we are honest we have never being the most original but if we start who knows. But if we don't do something about it nothing would happen, it would need someone with a decent standing to charge, i am just off to University and hardly call myself the ideal candidate! So whoever wants to it would definately take off!
