If you don't beat Burnley tomorrow, could our game at the King Power be Pearson's last in charge? With it being feeble little Hull, it could be Pearson's last shout, and that would definitely make it an adrenaline fueled game.

I really don't see Pearson being anywhere near getting the sack. We have 100% record at home and have been at least worthy of a point in all away fixtures, we just haven't had the breaks. It will come. I have seen this happen with many sides in this league, including Reading last year. If our owners got rid of Pearson down, then I would have to question their knowledge of the game and, so far, they have proven themselves to be very wise. So any thoughts of Pearson getting the sack after we play Hull is just you lot indulging in wet dreams. You need to move on.

I genuinely don't think Pearson has the tactical knowledge to do well in this league. I know he got you promoted from league one, however, as he was by trade a defender, this is also his Achilles heel. He places emphasis on clean sheets and defence and not enough on scoring or attacking. I'll be honest, I didn't really enjoy the football we played under him, it may be different for you as you have some decent forwards that can create chances. We never had a plan B, the football was at times restrictive. It's taken a while and some personnel changes to shake off that 'safety first' mentality, which I'm sure was deep rooted in most of the players mindset. Steve Bruce even alluded to it after the first 2 games.

This league is a bloody hard one, whilst Pearson will be capable of getting a team in or around the play offs, I don't think he has enough game changing ideas. His subs at Hull used to piss me off no end, he'd never make a positive change, just a change to run down the clock.

Funny you should say that because our achilles heel is our defefending. We've been playing some great attacking football but sloppy mistakes at the back (plus a dose of poor finishing) is what has let us down, rather than defensive football from NP.

My view for what it is worth ..

I'm actually enjoying the way in which we are trying to play -i.e keeping it on the deck and lots of pace and movement

We have some excellent youngsters - indeed we were running Wolves ragged for about 60 minutes - but gave ourselves a mountain to climb because we conceded 2 very sloppy goals to a very physical and combative team ... so getting anything from the game after that was going to be difficult ...

We have played some pretty good stuff in most of our league games and, arguably (bizarrely), our worst playing performance gained us our best reult! - against Peterborough

I feel the problem is that we need a bit more experience in centre mid and up front - now if we had Wellens back (possibly Danns) and, dare I say, Heskey in up front, I think we would have leaders in the areas that matter rather than just in Big Wes, as we have currently.

We look really dangerous right until we get in front of goal and then we snatch at the opportunities .. cool heads needed.
