It's obvious that the season hasn't kicked off yet. The budgies have time to be on our board instead of fending off the interests of their new premier league rivals who no doubt will inundate their board with congratulations on how Naarwich have just tonked their team. <whistle>

Personally I welcome the contributions on our forum made by the likes of Canary-Dave, CS/PC, DM ,Carra et al <ok> The only clown is WLOH and he is ridiculed by his own side as much as ours!

I think it all adds to the atmosphere on here and it often helps pass the time when there is feck all else to talk about! If you live by the sword you must be prepared to die by it as CS found out yesterday! <laugh>

As do I JWM. I'm up for banter as much as the next man. Am getting a bit worried about your love-in with the budgie boys though. What's next, gonna dye your 'tache half yellow half green.

Despite our fierce rivalry I'm not tribal for the sake of it and I appreciate the banter with our Budgie friends. I know people that are so tribal they wont even buy Colmans Mustard because of it being made in Norwich! I can assure you I'm Ipswich til I die and if we carry on playing like we have been it certainly will be the death of me!

Better to play the long game as there's more than one way of plucking a budgie!

I know what you mean. When I was living in Amsterdam one of my best mates was a naarwich fan. Being an englishman abroad you can become friends with people you might never consider at home, even scottish people speak to you!! We hung out daily and watched matches together but never any threat of violence.
I like to protect my corner though even if some of my humour is on the dry side. :emoticon-0146-punch
I wish there was a tongue in cheek emoticon, I would be it's most avid user. Wonder what it would look like though, I'm sure it would resemble something close to a felatio looking cheek bulging image.

Watching all the under 21 matches has been much more interesting than watching the seniors. The games flow more freely. How we could do with a left winger like Scott Sinclair.

...except that the U21's followed in their senior counterpart's footsteps by playing without any dynamism, urgency or invention. Almost predictably poor tournament that England seem to produce at U21 and senior level.

All i will say on the matter is thank the **** for global warming, in 50 years most of norfolk will be underwater. Perhaps the EADT should start a countdown clock on that as well.

Just off to leave my car running to see if i can speed it up to get it down to 49 years!

Agreed Rushmere. What was the point in taking more than 2 strikers to a tournament if you are never going to use them. We scored 2 goals in 3 games but Pearce never made 1 striker change. I watched all 3 matches and Sturridge looked good on the ball and good with a dead ball and although Welbeck did score the goals I can't help thinking what could have happened had Connor seen some game time. Yesterdays match was very much like watching the seniors in the way that you describe. Predictable wing play and no invention through the middle. I had written my last post half way through the match when it looked like we were doing ok. It was obvious the Czechs were playing for the draw and constantly had 10 men behind the ball. We were too slow in the build up and allowed them time to get in shape. As soon as they went a goal down they started playing and showed us up. Typical English game in the end.

  19. I sit next to an Ipswich fan at work, and we have gentle banter all the time. No harm in it. Let's be honest, when we are both playing ****e - at least we usually have 2 derby games to look forward too if nothing else.

I personally think Ipswich and Norwich have one of the best rivalries in the UK, it's always bubbling and adds bite and entertainment. Even the 'neutral' fans see and sense it and can't help getting caught up in it.

Yeah, I hate you - but I ****ing love you too!

    Especially JWM
