I think PISKIE's documents relate to the building of the stadium. The TFL document relates to after the stadium had already been built
I think TfL's investment was for transport links for the area and the benefit of the whole community, but the £7.6m paid by Arsenal was specifically for improvements to the stations and roads in the immediate vicinity - there's quite a good break down of the costs that Arsenal had to meet in this document. http://islington.gov.uk/DownloadableDocuments/Environment/Pdf/section106finalterms.pdf We didn't receive a penny from Islington Council for anything to do with our stadium as demonstrated in the Chief Execs letter here: http://www.davidlammy.co.uk/sitedata/PDFS/Corbyn_Letter_REDACTED.pdf
The difference is Council money as oppose TfL money. The original assertion from Wandering Yid was that we had received money from the council to improve transport, when in fact we didn't, we had to pay £7.6m for improvements. Subsequently TfL made a general investment in their infrastructure, it was part of an overall £10b investment in the network. Also, Daniel Levy had also incorrectly stated that Arsenal had received public sector assistance for the stadium When the Chief exec of Islinglinton Council categorically stated that no financial assistance had been offered.
Redknapp could donate £185k of public money towards transport improvements to the seven sisters area
Nearly 1,000 signed in 4 days since I saw this posted on the boards. At this rate it would be close to making the required 100K.
Hello friends, We are nearly 1100 up in less than 4 days. Good work. Spread the word on different forums and don't waste your taxes for corporate greed.
We had to pay to regenerate Ashburton Grove and surrounding area, why can't Spurs pay to regenerate White Hart Lane ? They want the stadium they should bloody well pay to do what needs to be done to get it ... like we did !
Hello friends, thanks for your support. We successfully crossed 5k mark. Let's hope we will reach 100k in the next few months.
