You missed an 'n' and got the first name entirely wrong. Don't seem to recall Suarez diving alot this season. So because he did it once, in the most recent game, suddenly its a massive problem? I also think the first yellow card on Sunday was fairly harsh, thus the dive wouldn't have been a talking point if the ref hadn't backed himself into a corner in the first 3mins. It would have been Yellow and end of story (well mostly end of story)
Suarez was quite bad against City- he went to ground a few times rather easily- and to be fair should have received a second yellow for simulation. He's been fairly well behaved most of the year though. Certainly worse offenders out there.
have you watched any of the others? WTF
well its all moot cos frankly he's far more likely tobe booked for mouthing off than diving... only divers like bale and janusaj get booked for diving, the rule is clear... draw any contact and its not simulation. simple. i don't agree with it and think sturridge is a bigger flopper than suarez but there you go... had he not made a bad challenge nobody would have blinked would they he is unlikely to split another opponent in two is he? its far more likely that if a ref with an agenda turns up that he'll be booked for mouthing and hand waving
I've no idea. So until I hear exactly what he said and can put it into context then ther's no way I can pass any comment. That's all I'm saying
Exactly what was said in op - was listening live and they kept playing it over throughout morning by Didi himself. Didnt bother me - he was right, it was bugging me as was studges attitude to passing. Luckily the rest of the team have spirit and we may need the selfishness of those two (tho sterling showed glimpses when he was breaking and had suarez to left and studge to right) as that is a quality which is sometimes needed.
Don't care if he was diving or give two ****s about anything Talkshit have to say, problem was it was another game where he failed to score against top four opposition. Singling him out is just ridiculous as he is one of many, many players who take part in the aerial acrobatics competition that seems to be running alongside the fight for the PL title, but it's inevitable opposition supporters will target him because he has been the best player in the league and inflicts so much damage.
I used to play alot of rugby. And I got tap tackled once just by a guys fingers/open hand. It felt like I had been shot in my heel. I was fuming, accusing the guy of kicking me and all sorts. My team mates set me straight. Goes to show that mininal contact can have more impact than is visible on tv. Im against diving and suarez is sometimes guilty, but we cant always be quick to judge especially if yhere us what is seen as 'minimal' contact
He pulls his 'agony face' even when he's contrived the contact, and pulls it about half a dozen times per match ffs. One day someone will have genuinely snapped him as the nation shouts "get up you prick" at their tele's. The boy who cried wolf and all that............
Suarez is the only player in the world to go down easily and 'win' free kicks and penalties. G Neville made a great point - Refs don't give big decisions when players stay on their feet, so it forces them to go down. Sort out the source of the problem - i.e. referees, then you'll find that players won't go down as easily. And while we're at it, we should book players who blatantly lie about throw ins and corners (!)
