I wonder if Nani told Dyer he'd start every game?

Sometimes new players are told such things to ensure they sign.

Scored again last night so is doing well when on the pitch TBF.

Not sure you can say the same for others!

When selling you need a good buyer
If your goods are for sale or for hire
    If that is in place
    You're right on the case
    Unless you're off-loading a Dyer

20% chance he could go but 80% chance he is still in the 25 man squad come Tuesday.

I would imagine the problem is wages; even if say Birmingham want him then we want them to pay a good part of his wages whilst they would not be keen to pay much at all for a player that may not be fit enough for them due to lack of game time.

I asked Kevin Affleck on FB and he posted an article:

And we can reveal negotiations are underway to reach a financial agreement with Lloyd Dyer, who has been surplus to requirements at Vicarage Road for nearly a year.

Dyer has just under 18 months left on the contract he signed in 2014 and is seeking a permanent move away from Vicarage Road rather than accept one of several loan moves placed on the table. Dyer, by his own admission, is paid “good money” at Watford and he is perfectly entitled to ask for the remainder of the contract, he signed in good faith in the summer of 2014, to be paid up. He could, in one scenario, receive a percentage of the balance of the contract if it means he is free to negotiate a deal elsewhere as a free agent or Watford, like Tottenham Hotspur have done with Emmanuel Adebayor, could release Dyer from his contract and agree to pay his wages until a new club is found. Any new club would have to agree with the Hornets to pay a percentage of his wages before his registration is released.

A permanent move to the Midlands would suit Dyer whose family live in Sutton Coldfield. Birmingham have a vacancy on the wing after Demarai Gray left for Leicester City while we revealed in the summer that Wolverhampton Wanderers tried to take Dyer on loan this time last year. Dyer’s agent, Will Salthouse, is based in Rickmansworth and has a box next to Troy Deeney’s at Vicarage Road.
