He would be the cheap option. I would be surprised if Moshiri didn’t have a chat in the ear of the Watford boss.
I agree but it would take time for him to change the style of play and Everton may not want to take that chance. Would Fat Sam be a good short term solution to keep them up and then look at Howe or whoever during the Summer? I'd hate having that twat at my club.
They're caught between 2 stools. Relegation would scupper the stadium plans - at least in the short to medium term - and possibly completely if the regeneration scheme ploughed on without it. So it's simply unthinkable for Moshiri. So does he play safe and bring in a fire fighter like BFS now and ensure we survive the season and look to appoint a new long term manager in May? Or does he get his man now and potentially risk it not working out and the unthinkable happening? It's a tough call tbh, personally I think it's too early for the 'panic' appointment, however, if he brought in someone like Tuchel for example and he didn't get to grips with the PL and the squad quick enough, we could find ourselves wedged in the bottom 3 at Christmas and then it would be the time to panic. If we were already in our new home then I think there'd be a much calmer view taken, but the project is at a crucial point and we need to ensure our PL status.
It’s Sam almost nailed on. The stadium chat has fallen away after the award if the CG to Brum. I’m not excited by Sam, but he can do a job till the summer and then start fresh.
It is a tough call, Tuchel would be a good long term appointment and as you say there's no need to panic right now. Show the ambition and go for it other than appointing that ****er.
The stadium plans are still progressing Meis was in Liverpool again last week. As for Allardyce I could just about stomach it for the rest of the season, as he'll get some steel back into the side, but I'd be gutted if he got given a contract beyond next May.
I agree mate, but it's easy said when it's not your dosh at risk. I can see both sides of the argument they must still be having internally over this.
Burnley manager Sean Dyche is favourite to become Everton manager as Watford boss Marco Silva wants to stay with the Hornets. (Sunday Times - subscription required) Honestly, I cannot believe that you haven't snapped up Big Sam yet! He's made it clear that he's desperate to take charge, and yet you appear to be spurning him! What's going on, lads?
