I heard somebody behind me say- he is doing this to save his job- I reckon they were right. We won. If we didn't part company with him last week, getting 4 points out of 6 was only going to help.
We will have to see if that is delaying things a bit longer or things can be turned round. Frankly, I hope they are. LJ has bought himself another 2 or 3 games I reckon but needs to produce points in them.

What people are getting at was the performance. a wins a win. well it felt like a defeat. Lee Johnson had to make three substitutions in desperation to get a win against a team who are adrift at the bottom. There was no confidence to be taken from the points.

the bloke cant win, he saw the need for changes, made them, won the game, and still he"s slated, had he not made them and we had lost yes then I"d criticise.

He made the subs that I said he should and at the right time. I do admire his bravery in taking Tammy off. It could have gone horribly wrong and if it had, he could well have gone.Fair play to him for that and maybe sometimes you make your own luck

A win is a win,but it is the way we played people are concerned with.

    Better watching paint dry.

You want us to play entertaining football, AND win our matches.
But sometimes that is not possible. Sometimes you have to scrap in football.

I don't think it's so much the fact that it was a scrap; if it had been a hard-fought win which we clearly deserved then people might be okay with it. But if you played that same match 10 times, would we have won more than not? I'm not convinced.

Made changes!!! Makes them all the time. He scraped a one nil against a team who are the worst team in the division.
He is being criticised because BCFC were ****. Players looked shot of confidence and energy. Didn't look motivated. People think he should be applauded for that???

BCFCRob has answered it. City didn't scrap. Rotherham are the only team in the division that is good enough to scrape a poor win against.

Lee Johnson has had millions to spend and that is what he is putting on!!!!! I cant see what it is people are thinking he should be back slapped for.

It was a woeful first half display and the recent 4 points is covering some very big cracks to me. Having said that its asking to a lot to turn around form and confidence in the matter of one game.. its a slow ship.

He isn't going anywhere though.. so we will just have to get on with it for now.

I thought the same as the Millers manager, they did not deserve a loss,if anything they looked the more likely to score.
Our players were going through the motions,no passion,no commitment.

We are going down under Lee Johnson with two records

The worst losing run in BCFC history.

The most expensive squad, ever assembled at Ashton Gate.

That my friends is no manager taking this club forward.

I do not think desperation comes into it, however it was not working as Rotherham were playing their game and we no answer the players on the pitch .. good move!
confidence from the points .. .. well the only peeps that can "take confidence" are those that want to, be they on or off the pitch or in the stands ... I regularly get confidence from the things I do in my hobby ... and they are not always pretty manoeuvres but get the job done!

Making three subs, taking off a player who scores the majority of BCFC goals and the clubs most creative player is sheer desperation.

It was Mr Johnsons set up that was at fault, not the players. Why were players so afraid to create overlaps, overloads, be creative to retain shape v a side anchored by some way to the bottom? Lee Johnson is the answer? Why play two defensive midfield players v a side who barely score? Lee Johnson. Why did City struggle to create chances v a side with a comical - goal difference? Lee Johnson.

    He got it entirely wrong.

    Fish out of water.

Interesting use of smilies there to highlight Mr Johnsons teams performance and tactics from kick off Saturday.

I think desperation would have been to keep these 2 players on and bring the three attackers on as well. Tomlin was non-existent on Saturday. People have been stating all season that Tammy cant do it all on his own. It wasn't desperation it was a brave call taking off two crowd favourites and it worked as the three subs all played a hand in the goal and we looked more dangerous as a team

Is there anyone who disagrees with the above ?
Not you R&W, stay in your bedroom window.
Or you 1For on your bloody sunlounger lapping up the Sangria.

I thought the Rotherham game was as bad as I've seen for a very long time.
Great that we won, but honestly - Rotherham !
And with NINETEEN new players, with a never ending stream of money.
    We'd surely hope for better.
