If we get promoted then I don't have a problem with him earning an extension as long as proves fitness etc. Wouldn't be first choice but we do need decent backup, whilst I'm sure there'll be a lot saying definitely not remember how Clint Hill performed in the Prem + it's good to keep a core number of the existing squad. That said it would likely be a straight fight with Clint Hill as to which of the mid-thirty defenders to keep.
Hes two years older and two years slower since he last played in the PL and he didnt do too well then. People were starting to see it with Hill who was coming in for criticism which disappeared this season because hes at his level. Keep one of them if we dont go up, get rid of both if we do.
Yes I have, I played in the top division in my city. It might not be much but its not U8s. The team I played for had 10k employees to pick from and I started. I never wanted to get into the my dads bigger than your dad bollocks but you bought it up. Shearers got more caps than our entire squad, should we get him to play for us next season?
Its not just Suarez but that type of player, even Sturridge and Wellbeck would give him fits. He suits the Championship where he can win everything in the air but not against quick passing football or pacy players but maybe that thought is a bit too simplistic.
Good morning boys from warm Washington. On Tuesday Bmouth brought on their fast tricky forwards with 15_20min to go. I thought, here we go,they will be running rings round us, with two tired and aging cb s...but no. Dunne especially was tight on his player who had no time to think, no room to get a run started. He was really impressive. Admitted the bmouth sub, who is so notable that I cannot remember his name is not in same class as Suarez etc.but I think if a defender has positional sense and a full understanding of the game....they can last till their bodies let them down....Anton f never had any of these skills of course..
