Yea he has not run this season as far as I know. Got lame middle of the winter. Be intrestibg to see what he does chasing never lived up to hurdle expectatioms

I'll be shocked if this horse does anything over fences - for a start he didn't jump hurdles that fluently and after a serious leg injury it's debatable he comes back anywhere near the level he once was.
Also, I can't have 10 year old novices at Cheltenham which is what he'll be come March 2013.
Sadly, for a horse who had so much potential, I think he could be done....

Dunguib got a leg injury during the summer, for which Philip Fenton ruled him out for the entire season. The plan was indeed to go chasing, and as far as I am aware, he is set to resume in Autumn 2012.

However, realistically to expect a 10 year old to become a top novice chaser is a big ask, and I suspect he will struggle to make an impact. Lovely horse though and I've a lot of time for him.

Hoping they bring him back over hurdles and just let him enjoy himself again, injury-free. I think he could have place claims in a weak champion hurdle if he was at full tilt (aside from Hurricane Fly, this years looks wide open). He could certainly still win some good Irish races.
