Congrats to her. I'm really confused why so many people are angry about this appointment. She has spent her career in the men's game. She has managed the youth team. She has the qualifications too.
When a manager departs, it is rare that a new manager walks into the club the same day. Therefore clubs place someone within the club in temporary charge until a new manager is found. They would place whoever is the most qualified and abled person within the club to do this - which is her. What is the problem with is? Why are people claiming this is a PR stunt? There will be an interview process for the job on a permanent basis and in the meantime someone has to be in charge to take training and manage pre season games and that's her.
If she applies for the permanent job and is the best applicant then congratulations to her. If she's not the best applicant then she won't get the job. There is a lot of needless angry people out there and the majority of them don't even support FGR so it's nothing to do with them.

Not angry at the announcement just a little confused at the timing, just before the season starts when they have had all summer to sort it out. One of their new signings came to FGR because of Ferguson being the manager and I also know that some clubs have more managers than Bristol has buses

So she was just in temporary charge until a new manager arrived, as the club said in the place. Why so many people got upset about it beggars belief.
