That's not true. He got him on the pitch even when there were already 6 other left backs on the field. So he clearly did rate him.

All you had to do to get a game during the Pardew years was say you were a left-back. I suspect even Haidara would have 50 appearances under his belt by now if he was still manager.

Well clearly, but if a mate said to me he was shagging 3 fit birds a week it's hardly a wild leap of the imagination to think he could have 4. So if he claimed he was going to have 4 the following week I wouldn't claim it was a massive exaggeration. Just saying, I strongly suspect you weren't aware of how many games Haidara did actually play for us.
