You're welcome. It is actually ok, but it's like everything else, takes time to feel like home. There's some decent football sections but most of the funny stuff happens on general chat. It's barely moderated also, which is a big plus. Watch out for the links though, click on them at your peril, as you mate's already found out.
I've been here a while and I still do it without thinking though.

If you click on your name, it gives you options. Click on your profile and there's a function to track your posts. The simplest thing is to bookmark whichever part of the site (either here or general chat) and it should show up new posts on articles you've read and posted on whenever you open the link.

If you make a mistake in your post, there's an option at the bottom of it to edit. Anything else you're not sure about, come on general chat and they'll help you out, after ripping the piss a bit. They're not a bad bunch.
I find the best thing to do on a new forum is to play away with the buttons, kind of like a new phone, you really won't do much damage

Some of the smileys are activated in the same way as 606 was, like < laugh > and < doh >, or click the 'go advanced' button at the bottom of the wee box you type into and voila!
