I don't suppose we will ever know the truth with regard to the Duffen era but two questions cross my mind:- Firstly, if Duffen had no responsibility for finances, transfer policy and contracts how much were we paying him and for what exactly? Secondly, if he had done no wrong why did he make a reputed £2m out of court settlement in the club's favour?
So instead of talking about the new season (which promises to be the best in the history of this club) we are as a collective still going over old ground - which is a shame. Who on earth proposed the interview and for what purpose
Happy, do you mind my answering this by PM? Basically just to avoid boring others plus there's stuff I'd rather not say on a public forum if you get my drift? Cheers
Shame that the BBC lawyers would not allow the full bit on Adam Pearson. It was an entertaining hour but Dufferman just does not see how bad most of his signings were. As for the Bullard reasoning he gave that just showed how poor he was on transfers. He should have told Jimmy thanks but no thanks. Overall it was nice to hear the Shaw confirmation but other than that Dufferman remains just that. A Dufferman. imo.
Don't miss part two of 'Mike White Investigates', when David Llloyd explains that he didn't lock City out of Boothferry Park, he simply mislaid the key.
ooooh sounds mysterious and exciting! Sure! Just realised I turned off PMs a while back but just reactivated them.
At the end of the day Duffen was chairman of a business that lost 40 million in 2 years yet claims the financial side was nothing to do with him. Did he not even take an interest in the club. Did he not have a calculator. you have 40 million a year approx. Do not spend 20 million more that that.
