Think we are all happy with the point mate it's the performance that's the worry, teams will start to get ahead of us as with City if a team goes ahead fairly early on our game plan is fooked. If it wasn't for the barcodes going down to 10 and gifting us a goal (cheers by the way) we would have lost that as well, our luck is being sorely tested at the minute and it will give.

To be fair its probably better people vent their frustrations on a football forum than in the stadium on Saturday. I think its mad to want rid at this stage but I'd have to be honest and say he's never been a manager I've wanted at us just because of how his teams play. From your point of view as someone who cares more about the result than entertinment, quite rightly you're ok with things so far. But being balanced you can surely see why some might be down in the dumps as they just want an entertaining Saturday out. People view football in different ways. Some just want to win. I was like that when playing but have to say I've always been different as a supporter. I just think entertainment is more important to me as a supporter. If Newcastle could play boring effective football and finish 8th or play really entertaining football and finish 12th, I'd probably choose the 2nd option. I just like the feeling of having been to a match of "that was good fun". Of course results matter but it can be a fine line at times.
Completely agree mate! Whilst a competition which everyone wants to win , its unrealistic to think that outside of 4 maybe 5 teams , the rest of us (for 99% of the time) are just here to make up the numbers. Football clubs are in the entertainment business, and yup winning is entertaining. Trying not to lose is not entertaining , its boring. I think against the HUGE clubs fans understand, but away at stoke, home to ur lot and away to west ham we should be going balls out to score 5-6. Why, cos its entertaining. Sure we could have lost 2 of those games and won 1. The total output would have been the same 3 points, ffs we could have lost all 3 but it would have been fun to watch. Attacking football is fun, be it hoof and chase goal mouth scrambles, counter attacking speed and whipped in crosses or tippy tappy free flowing barca style. This wins fans over W-L or draw. More fans = more noise = more passion = more money = more transfer $$$ = better players (you would hope) = more wins = more fans .
