I know that was meant a bit tongue in cheek but actually I think he is at his best coming off the bench. He can definitely change a game.

I'd have to say that Dusan (along with Redmond) has really upped his game since we signed Gabbiadini and I don't think it's just because the new man is putting chances away. It's that old "competition for places" chestnut. I would also say that I like to see players demanding more playing time. Not only does it show that they care but it's also refreshing in this modern day "official channels only" and "officially sanctioned platitudes only" wall of media beige that we are subjected to.

It may also be a translation issue. To us, showing a lack of respect is a bad thing, but Dusan may be talking about Puel trusting him more or appreciating his contribution more. In the end, Claude is the manager...every player wants to play all the time, but Puel is entitled to think about switching things around. Heaven knows what Dusan's comments will sound like by the time they've been translated from Serbian to English to French.

He has been given the plum job of playing in his preferred no10 role, if Puel had no faith in Tadic then he would stuck out on the wing. Sims and Hesquith have been kept out of the squad, let one of them take the no10 and see if Tadic has the balls to win back his place

You're the first one to say the Sun is a pile of **** but then you seem to believe this story easily enough.

I just don't think we can carry Boufal and Tadic at the same time. Whenever they have both been on the pitch we have struggled to retain possession.

I think it is more that Gabbiadini's movement has helped Redmond and Tadic find space and give them someone to provide for. Once Long came on as a replacement they struggled to find him and as Puel said the strikers and midfield were not conducive together later in the game [paraphrase].

Another way of looking at it; whilst Tadic is undoubtedly talented, I'm not sure his talent is sufficient to justify the amount of times he can go missing in a game. I suspect that Boufal, given game time, may turn out to be the luxury we can afford (that's afford in terms of minutes on the pitch, not wages etc.)

we have been pretty impotent going through the middle this season, with most joy coming from the wings. With a fully fit pairing of gabbi and Austin it will be interesting to see if they will be given game time as a pairing, with gabbi playing in a supporting role. Let Austin do battle with the CBs and let gabbi be on the lookout for loose balls and flick ons

Tadic isn't consistent enough to play for a better team than Saints. He's lucky to have us. No chance in a million years he will ever understand that though.

Tadic seems a one-half player and rarely have I disagreed with him being taken off second half. If he said what was written we can add the phrase 'idiot' to his other attributes. However, given its the Sun and probably taken in translation - I will give him the benefit of the doubt for the present. As FLT wrote earlier - might be a 'come get me' message.

Would have liked to have seen Tadic put away Redmonds assist in that game, just so, when the linesman ruled the ball had gone out of play (wtf barely touched the line!!!) we could have had the prestige of suffering the two worst disallowed goals this season. Very impressive from our crapper than ever before officials. And that is official.

I would respect Dusan more if he stopped the theatrical stuff, it is costing us decisions, which are in short supply in the first place.

Yes, I agree with that. I think Dusan may have acquired a bit of a reputation for being a little bit too Shakespeare, at times.
