I always like to imagine a rosy future- so when the missus orders this 'automated intelligent vehicle' to take them shopping - it'll just refuse to budge, blow a fuse and sulkily breakdown with a blown gasket that's if it'll be as clever as the technicians suggest - that's what I generally do when I'm asked
I don't see a lot of difference between these and riding a bus. It's all out of your hands, and you usually get where you want to be safely. Satnav is just as well trained as the bus driver surely?
Reckon for personal cars, you could be either in manual or automatic mode, with one lane dedicated on the motorway for the automatic mode. Automatic lorrys is something I am looking fwd to. no more lorrys trying to overtake each other and taking 10 minutes to get passed, lorrys going at consistent speeds etc would be great IMO.
