39.

Mrs Collinson (mrs colliwobbles) was head teacher at the time. She could give The Freak and Vinegar Tits off Prisoner Cell Block H a run for their money.

Terrifying!

Mate, I was made redundant in July after 14 years for one company, I'm 45. I've been ****ting it the last few weeks with mortgage and kids etc as I have the kids half the week, I'm on my lonesome in terms of I have to pay for it all in my house. I h didn't have a noose but went to see my boss in London and he gave me the news a month ago in the pub. I got really pissed and I won't exaggerate I nearly walked into traffic, freaks me out now I did that. Nobody knows I did that, thank got they missed as I've just been offer a couple of jobs in Hull I really like the look of.

I'm so glad you didn't, mate. And I'm glad you've said it on here. I know it's a cliche but nothing is worth doing yourself in for. I was ready to go (die) and am so glad I didn't. Am glad things are looking good for you. Keep talking, pal. Keep talking :emoticon-0148-yes:

I was long gone by then.

Was Mr Waller still there when you went?

Na mate. There was Mr Brazil, Mr Applebee and Mr Beecroft amongst others. i started in the junior bit and briefly to the seniors before I moved to North Hull. it was literally the term before Peronet Thompson opened.

He was the PE teacher, yeah :emoticon-0100-smile

I went to Dales last year in my car. It looked tiny! One half seems to be a boxing club now. The other is an arts academy I think?

Anyway, it was all A Team and Airwolf at the time and playing in the squares inbetween Kettlewell, Arncliffe and Trawden <cheers>

I lived on Rishworth, just around the corner.

My lad played at Dales last year and I agree, it looked a lot smaller than I remember.

The North Ferriby lads had a bit of a shock playing the locals, saying that they were probably the best behaved team we played last season.

A really decent bunch.

I drink a bottle of wine every day. Sometimes I have a couple of cocktails and half a bottle of wine. Sometimes I drink a couple of cocktails and an entire bottle of wine. I very rarely drink beer. In part, I drink medicinally, to dull the pain in my knee, but mainly I drink because it makes life easier to deal with. I should probably exercise more. Oh well.

When we were little, Trawden was like visiting the Andes. Didn't venture far from Pennine Way ha.

The double hill on the Dales ground was always great for finding ripped up porn mags tho :)

I seriously doubt Hale, Frodsham or any other of these other posh Cheshire gaffs could hold a candle to Skippers or Pennine Rambler for community spirit.

I drink most nights( at home) and when I do it’s because I’m struggling to handle the fact Pennine has closed down. It’s broken me.

I drink to forget.

If Skippers goes I’m ****ed.

As a previous resident of Alderley edge, it has **** all on the crown on Holderness road (my old local) or Pepi’s on a bank holiday... better than Ibiza that place

To be honest, until recently I've drank the equivalent of 10 pints a day beer/cider. Not good. But I've cleaned my act up and am enjoying life much more.

Incidentally, re the Allams, we both had issues and I apologise for my part in things. Hope your knee can be sorted sometime too :emoticon-0150-hands

Got up to some real shenanigans on those hills.

I was like a leopard in that long grass, a natural predator.

I appreciate that makes me sound like a pest but it’s the reality of those heady days of the mid eighties.
