no your pissed while in control then ...just remember the simple rule when the blue lights come up behind ya... pull over and pull out the keys and **** them into the passenger side before the lawman can do some star trek paralysing **** on ya
just seems like a bit of a daft rule to me if he's been following me the past few hundred yards and can see im wasted then he could have me for driving whilst pissed whether the keys are in the ignition or not. i'll let you know the results "but officer, hash said i'd be okay"
you might be in the station a lot longer than expected trying to explain hash is actually a person that you dont know and not another illegal substance in your system
Even if you take the key out of the ignition, i believe you can still be charged with being drunk in charge of a motor vehicle
Ah, different here then. If the police don't believe you have any intention of driving the car, you probably wouldn't be charged, but if they've seen you driving, or think you'll drive once they've gone, they'll get you.
In Britain, if you're even sat in the car, even if you've left your keys in the pub, you can still be done. The thinking is that you could accidentally knock the hand-brake off and run someone over.
I think its a really bad idea that drive after drink.Mostly it causes death.Many people drink on date or night parties and than drive and caught by an accident.In this way other person also bear lose due to your negligence....
