possibly. but PG reluctance to come at times may not sit well with the back 4. i tend to think that Basso is not 100% fit yet.

strikers arent just about goals and finishing, but its a massive part of a strikers game..

same as plumbers dont do just do plumbing, they have to drive a van, order materials, fill in paperwork and invoices etc, which is all part of the job, but if they couldnt change a tap theyd be a pretty **** plumber!

as i keep saying therel be some big tight games, when him driving wide or straight at the keeper when 1 on 1 does cost us points, and wel see how understanding people are then.

I'd have Emerton on the bench ahead of those two mentioned, though McCaffrey seems to be getting better all the time.

I'd have Holohan nowhere near the first team, I don't know what's happened to him, but he seems to be going backwards.

its a shame that we dont have the 7 subs still. i thought the same on emerton for a while. of the 3 McCaffrey is hot and scored 2 blinders the other week. one was messi - esk in its execution.

Anyone think a certain Algerian would slot into this formation quite nicely?

It really is - it'd give a chance to young 'uns to get on the bench...and...get a chance if we can afford to.

yes and people wonder why the kids are not given the opportunities. maybe a Rule which says that you can have 7 subs but 2 of them most be players under the age of 21 or who are classed as reserves. better still just get back to having 7 subs again. gggrrrrrrrr

    Forgot about him. <ok>

It's a shame that everyone decent that qualifies to play for Algeria plays for France.

A shame for the Algerians that is, I couldn't care less.

Do they qualify to play for France because they speak French? I ****ing hate France and their national team is a joke, if I was French I'd be ashamed about it all. Arteta - brilliant player, not English, **** off bye. If he was English then definitely..

Agree completely, any African who speaks French is immediately French for some reason. Zayatte, and Cousin were both often called French by commentators and the like and most people still believe Mouyokolo is French, but I'm pretty sure he's Congolese.

On the rules they use in that internal agreement about not using passports to qualify for any home nation Kris Commons qualifies for Scotland through one of his grandparents, but his kid wouldn't unless one of his Mrs' parents were Scottish because the last Scottish born relative would be too distant. (you would hope Commons ense would prevail)

It's still better than Jamie Woods and Colin Alcide qualifying for the Cayman Islands and St Lucia.
