Totally the whole thing was awful. Can I just say as you’re making another presumption I didn’t vote in it. I wanted us to reform our relationship/ governance with the EU but didn’t want to vote for the vile people funding and supporting the leave campaign including Russia - so I thought I can’t win either way. My view is that this version of Brexit was to maintain wealth for the wealthy and has plundered many into greater hardship and was the worst option. The right way to do it was to retain a strong relationship but negotiate more freedoms which in fact pretty much reflects the 51/49 split democratically. Unfortunately the party you support are led by extremists who bluff but actually don’t have respect for democracy only for power. Are you willing to admit that the leave campaign lied (they’ve admitted it) and that the leader you elected repeatedly lies and has even lied to the House of Commons.
There are certainly better options than Starmer, no not Dianne. Until hes gone, Boris and Co. can laugh all the way to the Banks applauded by misguided xenophobes and corporate sponsors, including Vlad who must have been delighted with that Bexit Vote.

It’s a funny one. I agreed with much of Labour’s last manifesto I thought it was pretty good and I thought McDonnell’s input was pretty smart. But I can’t stand McDonnell and the whole left ideologue clique. I don’t think we should necessarily renationalise everything for example but I think there should be genuine social commitment from businesses who win services and more not for profit business. When i put that to a few Corbynites they just saw public ownership. I personally would trust Starmer to be business like and efficient enough to govern, I don’t feel that about Raynor- but there is such an intransigent bunch with a loud voice in the party who would just demand they had it entirely their way which would never be possible. People always have to be flexible with some of their beliefs. Same thing with the 51/49 thing. The leader should reflect the balance of the people they lead and lead with respect not just consume the power so it meets their ideological needs and abuse it or democracy will be ruined. The same people who say respect Brexit, generally disrespect the 49% and neither are right. But if the chancellor says we can’t help the poor because we don’t have the money and then says Brexit is harming our economy then I’m calling it out as a mistake.
There are Kenyans and other nationalities in Al Shabab . There are Muslims who are victims of Al Shabab. There are many many Somali’s who are not in Al Shabab some who fight to defend others from them here and in Somaliland. Until you stop grouping people together because of where they are born I will call you out as a dumb racist. I’m close friends with a Somali. He runs a charity, is a youth worker, campaigns against FGM, campaigns against extremism, he writes plays, does. Stand up comedy but also has bad sides - he supports Everton and loves Phil Collins. If you voted to keep people like him out of the uk because of a splinter terrorist group you are as thick as Maandazi. Btw Kenyans can be racist too.
until you learn to read a passage properly and stop jumping to conclusions about what other people think you will always get the wrong end of the stick, your friend has seen the light good for him he got out, have you asked him why he got out.i do a lot of charity work on the ground in Kenya including helping a few Somalies Have you ever watched senator Ilan Omars speech on the Americans who died in 9/11 or her all Israelis are murderers, there are good and bad everywhere however until you have family members being murdered you will never understand the way Kenyans feel about them
He doesn’t really add anything to be honest. Because of the job I do I meet all kinds of people so I see enough diversity. Sometimes certain people just get on your tits. He’s one of them. So I ignore him and try not to ruin the thread/ my day/ my self respect with disdainful comments. I just occasionally have a look when the replies are clearly directed at me. I honestly don’t give a ****e what he thinks or says about him but if I don’t understand a reply I have a look.
i love it when a gobshite has to hide because he cant cope with answering facts that dont fit his agenda
But you blame Somalis and it’s a terrorist organisation not Somalia that are to blame whether a family has suffered or not. Every white British man isn't like the one in Batley, every Irishman isn’t in the IRA etc
liar you keep saying you have me on ignore, yet always come back and try to put me down, so what you work for a charity, i can prove the hundreds i have helped we are yet to see any proof of what you have done, if you do work for charity you get paid for it i do it out of the goodness of my heart, and people on here know it as well as they have also helped, big words from you with no substance so bang goes your stupid theories
You’re dying to put me in a box. I pretty much just said I don’t like many of the politicians you want to put me in a box with but it’s like you have processing issues or something. Have a good day and keep doing the good things you do.
but you were the person trying to put me in a box first , with your assumptions i replied to, so perhaps before wading in check your facts first
Yes. The leave campaign lied. Both sides lied. The electorate weren't handed enough information to make an informed decision. Both sides were too busy playing each other. Cast your mind back and we wanted reforms within the EU. The EU weren't willing to play ball and I still believe to this day that was the difference and the reason that the leave vote, won. Did you keep a straight face when you talked about the Tories not respecting democracy? I remember Labour, The Liberals and the Greens all doing their very best to overturn our democratic vote for Brexit. That is why the Tories won by one of the biggest landslides this country has ever seen.
Yeah I agree it has to be honoured just not this dire version - but the irony of this is that the Tories breached the rule of law (or tried to) to get it through the democratic process. It’s been massively harmful to our nation all of it and for what? To increase our hardship and deficit ? Honestly mate I’m genuinely worried doing the job I do about kids being exploited because of financial hardship. In Covid lockdown when money and food were tight SEND kids became mules for criminals and anything that causes financial hardship leads to this. Not even debatable. So I will speak out about the outcome of Brexit because if they alter the deal and we can get money into families we may prevent more abuse and devastation. It eats away at me.
