The woman who happened to be the wife of a Tory MP and Hancocks horse riding friend put in charge of our health at high salary while we clapped nurses and gave them 2% below inflation. Looking forward to some working class Sunderland lads on this thread finding a way to support elitism because they don’t like liberals.
One story i heard about the start of the enmity between Newcastle and Sunderland, were that the Geordies (named after some king) were royalty arse lickers/supporters and Sunderland supported the abolition of the monarchy. I not sure where this story came from...
These bastards see themelves as "born to rule", but in reality are little more than benefit cheats on an industrial scale. Rifling through the public purse (taxpayers money) to give to their friends and families £millions and sometimes £billions in lucrative contracts in return for financial backhanders. They have a sense of entitlement to it, and have no sense of shame in robbing the public services and state welfare it is actually meant for.
So Sunderland didn't support the abolition of the monarchy. 100 years earlier, however, unlike the rest of the NE, Sunderland sided with the parliamentarians during the Civil War. Partly because the Scottish Covenanters had raised the blockade of the NE ports at Sunderland (but not the other ports) in order to help supply their army. This gave Sunderland an obvious economic advantage over the rival ports. Obviously the good people of Sunderland had no problem with a monarch by the time the Jacobite revolution came around as long as he was a Scots King and not a Hannoverian one.
They’re already having a go at human rights, then the right to protest, have disrespected the rule of law, now they want to stop democracy being independently run
Heaven forbid they don't get elected and get the chance to give some of those big fat taxpayer funded contracts worth millions and billions of £££££ to their friends and families. Can a man not have a biscuit?
