Jihad retry much means a fight against evil. Obviously it has been misused for more sinister reasons and may well have been used for more sinister reasons in this circumstance - the organisation involved are questionable - but it isn’t always clear cut.
I'll be honest mate, if people are breaking the law, and trying to stir up trouble or intimidate others, I'd want them dealt with. The police should deal with them and lock them up but, of course, that makes them look like martyrs which is more likely to get people on the streets than what they're doing. What I mean by it not being a big deal is that, compared to the war and everything else that's going on, it's barely worth reporting. Yet Braverman is doing what Braverman does and is shouting about 'bringing the full force of the law to bear', etc. It's all about headlines and looking like she's tough on this and tough on that ... ... the reality is that she's just another Tory loudmouth making very little difference.
I agree, I’m just saying that pinning arrests on people is a struggle when there’s any grey area, which there is. So the full force of the law isn’t possible if the CPS can’t prosecute. So it’s just bullshit, pretend toughness as per
Yes I get your point mate, it's just more shouting from Braverman. No British court is going to prosecute and convict someone for shouting a foreign word that's open to endless variations. I had a conversation with my Scottish boss, at the weekend, and she pulled me for saying one of the gardeners was a canny lad. In Fife, apparently, it's a bit of an insult meaning tight with their money. Anyway what would 'the full force of the law' actually mean ... ... in reality, bound over to keep the peace or, at worst, a six month suspended sentence. FFS, dragging the Met police chief in just to get another headline ... she wants locking up
Just read Sunak taxi is booked in for Thursday... 20 to 25 letters of no confidence lined up to be posted to Graham Brady on Wednesday when Sunak years grace ends. Bye bye tories
Ousting Sunak is likely to extend their tenure, not cut it short. Whoever comes in won't want to commit to an election early in 24, we'll be going all the way up to December. Then there's the issue of - just look at the likely replacements.
It'll be Penny Mordaunt, she's worked under May, Cameron, Johnson and Sunak so is obviously willing to say and do whatever it takes to get the job. I've no idea what she stands for but I doubt she does tbh. Women will vote for her, because she's a woman, men will vote for her because of her tits ... ... oops sorry I meant charisma
We've had a succession of tits tbh ... ... two more can't be any worse please log in to view this image
Rishi Sunak faces further pressure over his U-turn on net zero targets, after the head of the world’s energy watchdog said countries that water down green policies risked worsening the climate crisis and damaging their own economies. https://www.theguardian.com/busines...r-net-zero-u-turn-iea-warning-energy-watchdog That's quite a few U-Turns recently?
He's as weak as piss that bloke. His Home Secretary is out of control and making a mess of everything she touches ... ... you'd be safer with a hand job from Edward Scissorhands
To be honest, if there is a likelihood of getting anywhere close to the number of letters needed, I can see Sunak calling an election. If he is not going to be PM he can make a lot more money outside Parliament.
These Tory PMs are like the Steve Bruce of politics. Promise anything to land the job, make a total mess of it then get a massive payoff ... ... then get onto the talk-in circuit and make loads of money telling people how great you were
Maybe Sunak would like to lose an election as soon as possible. Probably can’t wait to get that handy little £115.000 a year for life
They need to appoint a Minister of Watford who could research the pros and cons of changing the boss every two minutes
