Trump is apparently six foot three and two hundred and fifteen pounds. Just to put that into context, Christopher Reeves was six foot four and two hundred and thirty when he played Superman
'' MPs who lose their seat at the next general election are set to receive double the financial support. ‘Winding-down’ payments are designed to help departing MPs close their office and manage the departure of staff. At the last general election, MPs received two months’ wages after losing their seat- but this will now be doubled to four months following a ruling from the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA), which governs MPs’ expenses.'' So even when they fail they get to dip in the trough
It's like they know that they're going to lose (we all know) and this is to give them a final 'dip in the trough' as a 'thank you'
Aye, there will be a lot more of this before the next election, amazing how we just let them carry on. Mind it would have been a lot worse if Jeremy Corbyn had got in.
Just out of interest. Would you be prepared to pay more tax to see better services? Personally I have no issue with it. The load can be spread across all tax bands. Seems to me as a country we need some common sense to prevail and this would be a bit of that, in my opinion anyway.
I would providing the tax avoiding companies and services with massive profits and bonuses are taxed as well. I'd happily pay more for the NHS etc but not if the likes of Amazon, with hundreds of workers who use it, are avoiding paying their share.
I would think just about every one working would if it was going to the places it was supposed to, so my answer is no, I would prefer them to spend the money they already get in the right places and to stop trousering it between them and their mates.
Also willing to pay, but only if we can be 100% assured it will be correctly and usefully spent- with the requjred results.
In agreement with this, reservations, more in the pot, the more they can take. This government is corrupt, whoever comes in will follow the rules set by this lot.
I’d pay MPs a decent wage because they often work long hours and have high stress probably more than they earn now, and have a fair max on accommodation but there should ban on other work and bar and food expenses and a ban / freeze on earnings elsewhere
