I’m the same mate but I still can’t get my head around what they do, if I was safe in France I wouldn’t come across the English Channel in a dingy with hundreds of other people unless they’ve been brainwashed before they sail. There has to be another reason than what we are told, The RNLI have said when they rescue a dingy they throw there passports/identity and phones in the sea, why would they do that if they have family here and are fleeing?

Why bother bringing your documents in the first place and why throw phones away ... ... the vast majority are processed and accepted anyway, phones can be wiped and they're not proof of identity either. I had a French phone for years despite being English, all the info was on the chip which could be hidden in the crack of my arse if I'd wanted to ... ... probably the whole phone to be honest
