Apparently hes demanding people refer to the enquiry as 'Workeventgate' <laugh>

Ever since Boris Johnson prorogued Parliament, to get his own way, there's been a culture that every obstacle can be avoided, questioned or openly mocked. We now have a situation whereby an enquiry is being told by 'the accused' what evidence they can see.

It's become so ridiculous now that we've moved from laughable to sinister.

Interesting that, and not too surprising. MPs dont just make decisions without advisors. Johnson is pushing a lot of people here by all of a sudden being Mr transparent.

And he's now bypassed the cabinet office completely and handed over his unredacted messages directly to the inquiry.

I await the 'does not compute' responses from those now irrevocably psychologically conditioned to believe that only Johnson is to blame for everything.

We'll still be hearing about this fart in the wind of a man in forty years, won't we?

Worth mentioning he has only handed over the WhatsApp messages from May 2021 onwards as MI5 told him not to turn his old phone on as the number had been publicly available online and therefore may be compromised. Honestly you couldn’t make this up :emoticon-0100-smile

Whatever you think of him, you've got to admire the principle of turning a daft system against itself.
Phones that are completely secure and the property of the government regardless of who uses them should be a bare minimum requirement really.

so boris is heading down 'i am honest' path now and potentially dragging a few others into the mix, most likely reaching the point where 'they' decide they have to stop as people too far up the ladder are being mentioned.

Most PMs end up being historic figures to be fair. We still hear about Thatcher, Blair, Cameron all the time. I was only yesterday reading an article that was referencing Callaghan and Wilson. He happens to be the one that has arguably presided over the most unique period in modern times. Brexit and a global pandemic. History will remember him poorly undoubtedly because of his personality and because of his attitude. It is on him that. I tend to believe he is probably a bloke that can get things done, not through any qualification or experience, but through resilience and sheer bloody mindedness. I dare say a PM needs large slices of both. He has just shown himself up to be too willing to dodge rules and say one thing while seemingly doing another. That may well be what we talk about in 40 years, a PM that brought himself down by not seeing what a mirror reflects back at him.

My get would be people like Dildo Harding and people seen as crucial to the operation of the current government. Easy to think it’s the civil servants acting against the government but they governed will be wanting to protect their appointed advisers who in some cases keep the ball rolling and are passionate conservatives - dildo Harding being one example who is a donor, wife of MP etc. I also think some will have profited from PPE

Bonko in the interest of transparency? has handed some of his Covid19 messages and papers to the Inquiry. Good on him. Now do the same for the lockdown messages from a year earlier

In other news former PM tries his hardest to embarrass and shaft current PM.

If this wasn't so serious it would be hilarious. Can't wait for the movie to come out.

    Or perhaps a Netflix series.

I remember reading something somewhere about every generation of activists needing a Boogeyman to make them feel like they're fighting against evil, and if they don't have one they'll create one.

That's what's happened here. At least Thatcher had a bit of substance. This is like saying you fought in the Clown Wars. Imagine basing your entire political opinions around hating this absolute lightweight.

Excellent reading and an indictment of the Bullingdon boys and their chums hijacking "hard working families" tax donations to each other. More corruption in this government than in some tin pot third world banana republic.
