As I said I would have loved to have heard what the other parties would have done from the off rather that what they wouldn't have done . In my statement whether you agree or not said its easy to point out what the party in power have done wrong.
Boris got lots of things wrong, lots of things I personally disagreed with.
I believe every politician is corrupt one way or another and as for making wrong decisions the leader of the opposition was the top man at the CPS that claimed Jimmy Saville had no case to answer so I could never trust this man to make decisions for the country.
He was asked on 2 separate occasions what he would have done on the pandemic other than criticise the decisions Boris had made didn't have a response.
So like I said if when a party is in power the opposition could explain what and how they do things differently I'd be much more interested in that than what the party in power had done wrong.
That goes for whoever is in power, as it seems the oppositions job is basically to point out what they are doing wrong which we can quite easily see for ourselves

Yeah the old story about Saville and Starmer.

Yes he was Head if the CPS at the time.

The Sussex Police and the local CPS decided no further action, as apparently only one witness. No referral was made to head office.

When the truth about Saville came out Starmer set up an independent inquiry about why the case was not prosecuted. The findings said the case should have and more witnesses brought into it and procedures should have been better.

So yes as head he has overall responsibility but not personal responsibility for that case not being pursued at the time.

Completely. The Starmer loves Savile story appeared on a far right page shortly after his election and curiously appears again when Johnson’s inadequacies are gathering pace. With Johnson we have a ‘truth doesn’t matter’ culture of course.

I doubt there could be any connection in these two conversations <whistle>

"British Prime Minister Boris Johnson spoke to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on Wednesday, September 2 2020, with the objective of fostering closer ties with the Kingdom and strengthening of trade and investment between both the nations."

"The Saudi crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, warned Boris Johnson in a text message, 15 Apr 2021, that UK-Saudi Arabian relations would be damaged if the British government failed to intervene to “correct” the Premier League’s “wrong” decision not to allow a £300m takeover of Newcastle United last year."

I fully expect a large sale of arms to Saudi in the next few months... as they need to keep bombing Yemen, nominally supporting the govt there, cos of their proxy war with Iran who support the rebels. (Due to they have different brands of the Muslim religion and USA and the UK hate Iran)

A former councillor has been jailed and ordered to pay more than £28,000 back to Redbridge Council after committing electoral fraud.

Chaudhary Mohammed Iqbal, who was a Labour councillor for Loxford for more than two years, admitted in October that he gave a false address when applying to be councillor and later lied to the police.

In December 2018 Labour MP Fiona Onasanya was convicted of perverting the course of justice for lying to police to avoid a speeding fine. She was expelled from the Labour party
