I hope this is the last time we elect a president. He actually believes he, personally, has a mandate from the public ... ... sadly some of the public believe it. I can imagine a few will be in tears today and still worship him.
Planning on hanging about til October, everyone going crackers You've got to admire it in a way. A truly world class WUM. Plenty of people now trying to cover their own **** through their righteous condemnation. Big Sam waiting for the call to be caretaker. Great fun. I wonder if there's any scope to shorten the process significantly? Only if someone stands unopposed I think.
Now that he's gone the truth, which has been totally hidden, will come out. If Brandon Lewis will turn on him anyone will.
So many things have been overshadowed by Johnson but the country's in a real mess. British Airways has always a flagship of the UK and has just cancelled 10,000 flights in the last few months. This is blamed on a worldwide shortage of staff but I don't see Germany or Italy pulling stunts like this.
Last couple of days have been absolutely cringeworthy. He has had to be dragged out kicking and screaming. Heaven only knows what he will say in his leaving statement.
Hilarious watching Labour sitting gloating. Zero self awareness. You consistently couldn't lay a glove on the people you're laughing at, you dopey ****ers. This is why people don't vote for them.
Spot on Smug, there are good and capable people across politics who don't get involved in the silly games of Westminster. The problem is that their good work is never reported by our media because it doesn't sell newspapers, sell advertising or make good clickbait.
He should have gone last year, once Cummins started dishing the dirt he was finished. I have no idea who we will end up with but I hope whoever it is continues to stand up to Putin and also follows through with the immigration problems. If we end up with an election I couldnt vote for any of them, I cant stand the Tories but by god I couldnt vote Labour either. Sad state of affairs the state of our political elite.
I don’t think his party will allow him to continue until the autumn, he can’t fill cabinet posts so they can’t govern effectively. We are a rudderless ship at the moment governed by civil servants.
The good news for Boris is that at least it is now legal for him to have a leaving party. He can invite all his remaining friends round to Number 10, and hope that they'll both turn up.
