no surprise there, i remember the last time the north were struggling while those down london were asking 'what recession?'
I think that's true. Different jobs require different skillsets though. I expect Charisma to be a defining characteristic of a salesman or entertainer. I'd rather my mp's do what's right.
That doesn't make sense. The only party that has a mandate is the one in charge, so how can anyone else stab you in the back? I know you're banging on about Brexit, but it's done. We're taking about the current and the future.
That possibility doesn't make him any less guilty or everyone else guilty. It's worse for Johnson because A, he made the law he broke and B, was too stupid to realise he'd be found out.
I cannot understand people tying themselves in knots with this "whataboutery". FACT is Bonko WAS convicted. FACT is nobody else has been convicted..... If my uncle had a fanny he'd be my aunty.
And I can't fathom why you can't grasp that just because someone hasn't been convicted isn't the same as hasn't been caught.
Would you argue that offenders convicted of any crime are just unlucky and those of us who haven't are just lucky?
Peter Oborne is a conservative and former chief political commentator of the Daily Telegraph, I listened to him on the radio this morning talking about his website: https://boris-johnson-lies.com/ Makes interesting reading
Do you not understand how the law works? The burden of proof lies with the accuser. All people are presumed to be innocent until the powers that be prove, beyond reasonable doubt that they are guilty. This goes back to the Magna Carta. A person does not have to prove they are innocent. Which is all immaterial anyway, because no other Prime Minister has been charged with an offence. Johnson was, end of.
My original message was about how the media are saying Boris is the first PM to be found guilty of crime. If you read carefully I pointed out that it is possible he wasn't the first to commit a crime. You are trying to change things, and have now turned it into something sordid, more,s the pity.
You are trying to excuse our Prime Minister’s actions by deflection. It is a fact that he was convicted of committing a crime however your presumption that it can be excused because others may have committed crimes and have never been caught is just juvenile and ridiculous
