We deny them the right to apply for refugee status when they arrive in the UK by sending them direct to Rwanda and apply there. Which as l understand is contrary to their Human Rights as defined by the UN.
The only migrants being sent to Rwanda will be those who've come from Rwanda. It's just more bluster like Patel sending in the Royal Navy or Johnson building Nightingale hospitals knowing there's a shortage of staff for the existing ones. All that will happen is that someone will win a legal challenge and then take all the blame for the rising numbers of illegals. If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny.

Going to The death camps you had a choice of taking one of your children with you the other one was shot in front of you, you were then put 200 + onto a railway cattle truck standing vertical for the whole journey, with no sanitation, you either died or you survived, and you compare that with being put on a 747 with meals and clean toilets for 4/5 hours. You and your mate need your heads looking at.

It wasn't meant to be a direct comparison mate. It's just the arbitrary nature of deciding the fate of desperate human beings who aren't our citizens. (Yes I'm aware many who were sent to concentration camps were actually German.) Will illegal Ukrainian immigrants be shipped off to Rwanda or allowed to stay because they're white and political hot potatoes.
I'm of the understanding that we are sending them to Rwanda whilst we judge whether, despite their illegal entrance, they have a right to stay or whether it is to the countries benefit that they stay
I was just stating that this Rwanda idea is nowhere near the scale of the horror of the Final Solution, which is obvious. That's not to say that there are the similarities that you state. But the Madagascar Plan pre Final Solution does sit alot closer to this Rwanda plan. Basically sending people away who we don't want on what can only be described as an open prison. I'm anti illegal immigration. Basically due to security and financial reasons. I have sympathy for anybody escaping war persecution etc. But I can't for the life of me understand why anybody would risk themselves and their young family, after a 1000 mile hike through safe countries, by jumping in a cramped slowly deflating dinghy and dodge waves and ships. I can only surmise that many are sold the idea by the smugglers and are not aware of the high risk that the final journey entails. I'd rather settle on putting on a blue and white stripey jumper, place a string of onions around my neck, beret hat and learn to eat snails than risk the potential horror of the final crossing. The amount who get in purely for criminal or for 'easy money' reasons also makes me uncomfortable. But even I think this Rwanda Plan has a whiff of the 19th century about it.
I agree with all of that and, as you're aware, my concern isn't that we're trying to deal with illegal immigrants. The situation is horrendous and getting worse. But we've just had a massive furore over slavery and the way people were transported to a country they didn't know. Yet now we're expected to praise this idea and the government. It's sordid to say the least.
