I'd quite like him as the landlord of a country pub ... ... definitely not as the leader of the country.
He doesn’t even run the country, his Mrs does. He’s a grade A thunderc*nt but unfortunately his ridiculously Ill-fitted suits appear to be made of Teflon.
like all tories and their ilk, future is all but planned out for them once they enter one of those schools...i many a time wonder if they actually ever take exams or are just given a pass because of all the money that changes hands, this was almost confirmed when camoron had absolutely no idea about the Magna Carta. it is not just the actual fees but plenty of cash is 'offered' for various little improvements and repairs or maybe equipment for the schools and as far as we will ever know there is always the old 'paid for exotic holiday' that they all tend to hand out to err... 'friends' (this seems to be more regular at voting time)
Moved us on from the Covid situation quicker then any other country in the world. People were screaming at him to deal with Covid like New Zealand and Australia, who are now currently sitting in months long lockdowns. He’s not perfect, but he will certainly get my vote in the next election.
What about the people's lives he saved with his vaccine procurement which outdone the rest of the world? Is Boris Johnson responsible for our nations foodbanks? I thought he'd just handed everybody an extra £20 per week to help people struggling during the lockdown? I know people personally who were singing his praises for that.
It's not just Tories though, they are all tied together, say one thing, mean another. Have you ever seen a poor politician? neither have I. $€@@£ the bastards, all of them, make me the worlds next total leader, you'll be alright!
Difficult to know where to start with Bojo....HIs decision making process is so incredibly flawed for a leader from one of the richest countries in the world. But for me his leadership will always be defined by over 135k Covid related deaths in an island country (Much like New Zealand) where to shut down our borders would have saved the vast majority of those people.
Certainly restrictions on the movement of people in and out the country could have been enacted quicker, but it's very difficult to make a comparison between the UK and NZ....we're a hub for a colossal amount of people movement from all over the world.No-one goes to NZ to pass through on their way to anywhere....there is no comparison between London and Auckland. There is also a powerful argument to say that more lives could have been saved had the NHS and the care system been joined up,unfortunately it's a fractured system not of Johnson's making. The real test of Johnson will be if he can recognise where the failings were and make some real and meaningful changes.I won't be holding my breath.
I kind of agree and disagree....... If you look at the socioeconomics of the two countries, there is a world of difference...so that much I agree. However, The similarities are, we are an island, a little island, surrounded by water, the easiest thing in the world would have been to close ALL borders and deal with what we had at the time, instead, we still allowed, flights and ships to come into the country even tho it was clear that this virus was a serious killer....an absolute dereliction of duty as far as I am concerned. He, and his government are responsible for many thousands of deaths that simply should not have happened.
I agree with a lot of what you say, however which ever way you vote or whoever is in charge, if you look at most other countries in the world not many handled the covid situation very well. Dealing with something no-one really knew much about. I don't have any allegiance with any political party for 2 reasons they are all full of **** and I'm quite selfish, when it comes to voting in an election and vote for who will benefit me and my family at the time. Boris has made lots of mistakes and the other problem we have is the leader of the opposition is the man who was the head of the CPS that failed to bring charges against Jimmy Savile for lack of evidence. So I don't think his decision making is up to much either
His critic's, and there are many of them, including me, should keep reminding themselves just WHY he is PM. More voters found him and his party to be more acceptable than the alternatives. And while there is some rejoicing that Corbin and his band of extreme nutters have 'apparantly' been shuffled to where they can do little harm, Sir Kier, who I had great hopes for, is not, so far, looking like he is going to be the man to change the Piblics collective mind by getting enough voters to swiitch loyalties back.
